Hey Peter! Welcome, and I look forward to reading more from you, and swapping those recipes!

I wonder if the Scouting organization is in part responsible for keeping cast iron cooking as alive and vibrant as it is. For me (and my brother?) the first and best intro to dutch ovens was from Grandpa, but it was Scouting that kept it going.

It was becoming an assistant scoutmaster that made me go buy some dutch ovens.

Anyway, welcome! Post, and bring all of your friends...

There are two rules of Dutch Oven Cooking:
1) If you cook too much food, share.
2) Cook too much food.

Welcome, Peter!  I'm glad you've joined us!

Scouting certainly has helped me hone my craft.  It has given me more opportunities to cook for more people, and often on someone else's nickel!
