Title: Chocolate Pecan Toffee Cookie

Chocolate Pecan Toffee Cookie

Ingredients:

Preparation
Preheat the lid of a 10 inch dutch oven using 12-14 coals.

Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate pudding mix.

Stir the flour mixture, chocolate chips and half of the toffee chips into the creamed mixture.

Evenly press the dough into the bottom of the 10 inch Dutch oven. Sprinkle the remaining toffee chips over the top and then place the Pecans around the top.

Place the preheated lid on the dutch oven and bake using 12-14 coals top heat and 10 coals bottom heat for 45 minutes, or until edges are nicely browned and a tooth pick comes out of the center clean.

The dough in this recipe is certainly cookie dough, but the end result is about 4-inches thick, so it ends up looking much more like a brownie.  Cooking it in a 12-inch or even a 14-inch dutch oven (but for less time) would turn it into something resembling cookie bars.

This is delicious, and goes VERY well with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

LOL!  Yeah, I have to keep extra screen wipes by my computers if I'm going to be working on this site...  8)
