Title: Dessert Pizza
Post by: DeShawn on April 05, 2011, 06:33:51 pm
Ingredients:

Preparation:
Prepare the pizza dough (http://dutchovenchef.com/smf/breads/dutch-oven-pizza-dough/) as directed.

When the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Divide the dough in thirds.  Press each third evenly into the bottom of a 12-inch dutch oven.  Spread the dough evenly with apple, cherry, blueberry, or other pie filling.

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, and walnuts. Sprinkle 1/3 of this crumb topping onto each of the dessert pizzas.  Cover and bake with 10-12 briquettes bottom heat and 20-25 briquettes top heat for 20-30 minutes or until the bottom crust is crispy, and the crumb topping is crunchy.

Remove the dessert pizzas from the dutch ovens, mix together the powdered sugar, water, and vanilla and drizzle over the top of the dessert pizzas.  Cut into slices, and serve hot.

Makes 3 dessert pizzas.
