Mountain Man Meal
ingredients
• 2 Elk steaks
• 1 cup wild rice
• 2 yams washed and scrubbed
• salt and pepper to taste
• butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Begin preparing the wild rice as described on the package. Once the rice is simmering, prick the yams with a fork and wrap in foil. Place the yams in the preheated oven and bake for 45-60 minutes. During the last 15 minutes of baking the potatoes, season the steaks with salt and pepper and place on a hot grill for 5-6 minutes per side depending on thickness and desired degree of doneness. Top the yams with butter and plate with a steak and 1/2-3/4 cup of the cooked rice. Serve immediately.
