Post by: DeShawn on April 04, 2011, 06:17:23 pm
Ingredients:

Preparation:
Heat a 12-inch dutch oven with 22-24 briquettes bottom heat.  Fry the bacon until crisp.  Remove the dutch oven from the heat, remove the bacon and crumble it.  Pour off most of the grease.

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, crumbled bacon, grated cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.  Mix well.

In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard.  Stir 1/2 cup of the ketchup mixture into the meat mixture, reserving the remaining ketchup mixture.
Press the meat mixture evenly into the bottom of the dutch oven.  Spread the remaining ketchup mixture over the meat.  Cover the dutch oven and bake with 8-10 briquettes bottom heat and 16-18 briquettes top heat for 30 minutes.  Top with french fried onions and bake another 10-15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.

I made the recipe for my daughters and some friends a couple of weeks ago.  It was a big it.  Delicious and easy to put together.  How can you go wrong with one part bacon, one part cheese, and two parts ground beef?  Great recipe DeShawn. Thanks.
