What to cook?
« on: August 01, 2011, 12:18:54 am »
I'm hoping for some quick feedback here...

One of the Venture Leaders in our ward is wanting to have me help teach the Venture Scouts about Dutch Oven cooking. A question that his wife asked is what could be cooked in a shorter amount of time...

Well, there are MANY things that can be cooked in an hour or less, but I just wanted to know what your favorites are...

I'm looking forward to helping out! I want to find something impressive to show them...

There are two rules of Dutch Oven Cooking:
1) If you cook too much food, share.
2) Cook too much food.

OK - I'm back with another opinion question for you guys, along the same lines.

There's a neighborhood "cook-off" tonight. Well, cook-off is a bit much, as really it's just a "get together and taste each other's food" thing - just a DOG.

I have an idea of what I am going to make, but I want your guys' opinion - what is the most impressive EASY thing that you have made?

I always fall back to the lasagna recipe.  Most everyone enjoys lasagna.  And not many people actually make it.
